A great 20th century magazine brand reinvents itself as a digital destination.

LIFE.com required a site that could showcase millions and millions of archival photos from its collection (of which less than 3% were ever published), paired with the daily photographic content stream supplied by its partner Getty Images.

Cohere pursued a minimal, content-forward approach to keep user focus on the vibrant imagery, with minimalist but thoughtful design cues providing the necessary framework for site navigation and services. Page templates were constructed for featured portals, editorial galleries, social games, polls, special features, interactive timelines and advanced browsing tools.

Through our continued relationship we took the site through a series of redesigns, and helped launch successful iOS apps, online store, as well as several exclusive print editions of LIFE magazine.
