Martha Stewart American Made spotlights the maker, supports the local, and celebrates the handmade.

Each year the editors at Martha Stewart Living honor makers, small-business owners, and creative entrepreneurs in the fields of crafts, design, food, and style. These makers are recognized for their dedication to creating beautiful, quality products and building successful business and communities.

As a design partner, Cohere’s role was to develop UI and Visual Designs for the site that would express the personal narrative of each maker and their respective craft, giving them an opportunity to present themselves to the judges and to the audience and build a lasting following.

We created fully responsive design templates that made the makers and their wares the focus of each page. We also came up with the browse navigation and tools to make finding a maker easier. We also created a separate section for the winners that highlighed their achievement and the judges' reasoning for selecting them.
